What About Whimsy?
Long slog, no blog. I'm not sure it's in spite of the recession, or
because of it, but I've been really busy with work the past few months.
Whimsy Speaks (the proper name for this blog, no matter what the banner says) is
now five years old. Hard to imagine, really.
Sweet Junie has continued detailed planning for our Paris trip, which is now
less than 3 weeks away.
Meanwhile, Der has gone back to Columbia. He's in most of the top bands
and ensembles and is starting soon as lead guitar for a signed artist.
That's all I can say, except that I'm proud of him. Der got back from his
California hitchhiking adventure with Max, and I have hundred of photos to prove
that he thumbed his way through everything from ex-hippies to
cops-with-an-attitude. Ky is back at his prior software job and about to
join a particular development team he had his eye on. Both Der and Ky seem
to have caught the buff bug. Ky is cycling and deep-dipping and Der is
hitting the gym and eating power bars 6 times a day. Ky just got back from
the Blizzard conference, where he was consistently recognized as Hordak of the
fabulously successful
Octale and
Hordak vs The World Internet Radio show.
Yes, I've read a lot of poetry in the past month. Also, blogs and
magazines. I'll try to get to that tomorrow. You know what
Bob said: "Baby
Steps".
BTW, my Movable Type admin screen says I have 19,136 comments. I suppose I
should do something about that.
